Naike Peak (6416m).

The Crystal Falls are utterly spectacular after the wet season.

Sweetwater Pool, on the Jatbula Trail. Nitmiluk National Park, Northern Territory, Australia.

Ama Dablam above the clouds. Taken from somewhere between Chhukhung and Chhukhung Ri.

Changtse, Everest's West Ridge, Everest/Qomolungma/Sagarmatha itself, and Nupste, above the Khumbu Glacier. Everest Base Camp would be down the left somewhere.

Panorama of five photos taken from Gokyo Ri looking east to Chomolungma/Mt Everest (the dark pyramid at the back). Helen took the photos. I stitched them together with ptgui. The glacier at our feet is the Ngozhumpa Glacier, the longest in Nepal, which starts below Cho Oyu. The prominent peak middle right is the extraordinary Taboche. We had walked over from there a few days earlier.

Kangtega and Thamserku above Phortse, itself above the Dudh Koshi. Andrew and Glen are on the right hand side. We descended over 700m from Luza to Phortse Tenga, only to find we now had to ascend 300m to Mong. Mong is a brilliant place, perched like an eagle eyrie 700m right above the junction of the Dudh Koshi and Imja Khola.

Panorama from the eagle eyrie which calls itself Mong. Perched 700m right above the junction of the Dudh Koshi and Imja Khola. Cholatse, Taboche, the village of Phortse, Ama Dablam, Tenboche (the monastery is partially hidden by the near trees), Kantega and Thamserku, and to the right, the Dudh Koshi Valley and apparently the Everest View Hotel beyond the obvious tree.
