Hi there - this is a beautiful photo, and I wonder if I could please use it in a research journal on the cleanup of pollution in Onondaga Lake. Please contact me at kmgeiger@mtu.edu. Many thanks!
Syracuse City Hall, a rather interesting building in downtown Syracuse, on E. Water Street.Directly to its left is the French restaurant, L'Adour, which also is rather interesting! Great Pommes Frites.
The Everson Museum of Art was designed by architect I.M. Pei in, I believe, the 1970s. Other Pei buildings - all of which have leaked at one time or another- are the first Newhouse School of Communications building and Bird Library, both at Syracuse University. I find all three rather ugly and none has aged gracefully. Pei has had problems with many of his buildings, but for a while he was a "darling" in the architecture world and therefore much sought after. He charged a lot for his aedifices, which doubtless explains why, in all his photographs, he is smiling.
I lived in the building in the lower right hand corner of this photo and have several photo of the harbor, this is the west end of the harbor showing the Toronto City Centre Airport from the CN Tower.
