Scottie!!! God Bless Ya!! I just left a comment for Graciel with the same sentiment - AAA and Mapquest avoid 66 like it was lined with leppers, but that means less traffic for people who want to live history. This gas station is featured on THE COVER of Arizona, An Explorer's Guide, but those two "travel" companies don't see 66 as a route to drive. Fine, when my family and I go from Kingman to Oatman in Feb, we'll only have to share it with the real people! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

This is a Prop in the fake town of "Cyanide Springs". This is where the "gunfighters" act out their shows for the tourists. It is located on Historical society property, in the town of Chloride Az.

This used to be a nice dirt trail with a grove of shady pine trees ... but it got turned into this boring scene.

A lot of variety here ... busy freeway and lilac-colored flowers to the left. Heap of rock & debris up ahead (ongoing construction), and a riot of yellow & red flowers on the right.

There were about 100 yards of these flowers growing right up against the freeway wall. Drivers speed on by, have no clue there's anything here to look at ...

This location is way off, you have it set on a shoe store on cherry street in cottonwood, the court house is on 89A in old town cottonwood.

After the battle of San Pasqual (Dec 6, 1846), American troops had a standoff with Mexican forces on this inconspicuous little hill. On Dec.11, reinforcements arrived and the Mexican troops withdrew. (Info from signs posted at this location by the historical society.)

The location of the old town of Bernardo. This sign is thank to the local historical society. Nothing is visible anymore, except a few scattered stones.

This whole grove was plowed down to build a housing project. So these beautiful trees are gone.

This pic is from my old camera, sorry for the low res.
