Merci beaucoup Nick ! Salutations de France --Pierre

Hello. Ewa_K. Thank you for your visit and to estimate my photos. Castle of Collioure, was built on the remains of Roman buildings at the initiative of the Kings of Majorca to serve as the summer residence of the royal court. Commercial port and fortress unite in the walls of the monument. The Royal Castle of Collioure is inseparable as the city can be separated from the sea

Best greetings from France, city Narbonne, My Map, Roger.

Hello. Annelie. Thank you for your visit and to estimate my photos. Fort Saint Elmo was built in 1552, under the guidance of Charles V and Philip II around an existing tower signal and located on a hill directly above Collioure and Port Vendres. This architecture is revolutionary for its time because it combines both the effectiveness against artillery by walls of more than nine meters thick, and the other a no dead angle, which makes it difficult the assault. This is a citadel of war ordered to defend the Spanish border during the Thirty Years War. This is a private property now that we just visited the Museum and the fortress see here. Thank you for your visit.

Another well framed scene.

Chamber is right.... it doesn't look big enough for two rooms.. :-) What a great find even including the local War Memorial.
