Location is actually about 36-16-22.4; 67-41-53.0, approximately 28 km due west of Aybak on A320. Rocks that look similar to Badlands of ND are of similar (Oligocene-Miocene?) age. Also note this is in Samangan Province (although that coukd conceivably be in dispute). Great photo; took a simialr one myself but did not capture the colors as well.
