Amazing, cannot believe that it is the same river when it enters Lucknow near Pucca Pul. The quality of water will be excellent I believe where the river has a bridge on Itaunja-Mal road. Surprisingly I went to Asti village long back to see the source of Kukrail river and the water is amazingly fresh there too. The spoilsport starts after Khurramnagar bridge.

Very nice Himanshu. I live in Lucknow and do biking in the outskirts of Lucknow on my free days to discover rural aspect of Lucknow as I am sick of city life. Today I went to a village called Bhauli in BKT and was heading to this temple too, actually planned to go all the way on Itaunja-Mal road but some villagers warned me about bike snatching incidents and told me not to go alone as Kolvan-Saidapur stretch is quite deserted and heaven for robbers.

Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi is located close to "Vishwanath Temple", and is probably the most spectacular ghat. Two Hindu mythologies are associated with it: According to one, Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva. According to another, Lord Brahma sacrificed ten horses in a yajna here. A group of priests daily in the evening at this ghat perform "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga, Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe.
