Cunard Cove is located at The Ovens, a privately owned park. Site of a small gold discovery in 1861, the park is known for its sea caves that can be viewed from a short hiking trail along the cliffs. Some of the caves were enlarged by mining activities, and several can be entered via stairs. The beach sands and gravels at Cunard Cove were also processed for gold.
