I used to swim here everyday in the summer when I was young, late 60's and early 70's. Still looks beautiful.Not as deep as it used to be, we had to swim out to the old posts in order to dive off. It looks so close now. The loons sounds so nice too.

yes,,,, this is exactly where the tunnel is. On the east side of Effingham Is. You can take a small boat through but be careful of the surges.
