Ainur Rasyid's conversations

SENT FROM MY MOBILE TO THE PANORAMIO-GOOGLE TEAM, few minutes ago:

Dear Sirs

Your décision to close Panoramio was really a brave exodus from a very long tragedy.

I would like to ask : What about of our missed statistics? Since Nov.11, 2015 we have lost about 70 days of statistics, because of bugs, never fixed. They will be repaired and added after the migration with Maps?

After the results of the petition by Eduardo Manchon, on June 2015 there was a statement posted at the forum, that Panoramio would stay alive. If I remember well it was an official resolution of Google team to keep the site alive. Despite of this,  now you decide to close your site, which is destroyed by your strategy through the years ( contest stopped, new panoramio never worked properly as the old one, lost statistics etc. ).

In any case,  you have all rights to manage your products as you want,  but you are loosing the credibility of a company who cares for its customers.

Personally, I shall continue in Maps, because I'm respecting myself and my whole work made last six years in panoramio. From the other part, I believe that it is better to try something new well working,  than a site totally destroyed.

But I'm thinking that I have no such patience to scroll to the infinity ... for having a global view of my gallery and other people's galleries.

Anyway we shall see at November, 5th ... !

Kind regards

Dear Friends, I would like to be active till the end, but I must do my personal back-up of my photos, because I don't trust Google anymore for nothing, especially after the announcement that Panoramio will not be available after November 4, 2016.

As human beings, with feelings and mind, I think that we can do some steps ahead.

Personally, these six years, using Panoramio, were really very productive and I learned a lot of things about photography and its techniques, making a lot of friends and excursions with them.

Human contact is more important, than every interactive communication, we know it well, but we also enjoyed our conversations via comments or personnal messages, many times confessing things, that even in our real friends we don’t.

I think this solution is better for all of us. Nobody deserves a treatment, like that one we had last two years. Panoramio itself didn’t deserve a treatment like this!

If Google decided to make a step ahead for earning money, although it was stated from the company that Panoramio should be alive after the results of the first petition, we can do more steps ahead in our real life, making travels and taking photos for our pleasure and for sharing with friends in other sites, whatever they will be. Sometimes money isn’t the real profit. Our common journey through Panoramio was our gain.

Dear friends, we keep our contact via Facebook, 500px and Ipernity, or something new at the future. I am wishing to all of you, at first good health and all the best on every way you choose to follow.

Thanks for your support all these years and for this beautiful journey !

Bernard Thank you so much for your always welcome visit and for kind words.
