I am a graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a geological engineering degree. Recently started work in the oilfields as a mudlogger. Climbing and mountaineering is in full force and my lifelong passion now. A few years ago I thought about trying to always take very high quality photos but when I started technical climbing, snapshots with my favorite point and shoot just is easier. I now use Canon SD series point and shoot cameras almost exclusively and love how the photos turn out fur such a small camera! I post loads of photos and beta on Summitpost so check it out. After a few years of inactivity here on Panoramio, I am happy to see the upload process streamlined and I am going to upload photos from many of my climbing and hiking trips in 2012, 2013 and now in 2014. Enjoy and cheers! Matt - May 27, 2014

LIKE and FAV!!! Spectacular image and colours:). GREAT view. Warm wishes Soyvind1982

Gannett plays peek-a-boo, I think this is a case of being able to see Gannett’s summit snow field through the Wilson – Sphinx col. Not as distinct as some photos / viewpoints but I think that is snow, not cloud.

Great gallery! Lots of awesome mountain shots!

Nice shot! It makes me remember the shadow of 'Mount Buffalo' in Australia! I was the only one standing that cold morning to see the sunrise! Btw, is it too difficult to get there?

Beautiful Photo L&F.. Dave and Maggie

What can ya say? I love slot canyons! And this is a really good shot, Matt!

Thanks for letting me know. You are correct!

It was steep, but the bushwhacking wasn't too bad. Definitely doable. The key is to find the boot path that starts right at the west end of the reflection ponds.
