I am a graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a geological engineering degree. Recently started work in the oilfields as a mudlogger. Climbing and mountaineering is in full force and my lifelong passion now. A few years ago I thought about trying to always take very high quality photos but when I started technical climbing, snapshots with my favorite point and shoot just is easier. I now use Canon SD series point and shoot cameras almost exclusively and love how the photos turn out fur such a small camera! I post loads of photos and beta on Summitpost so check it out. After a few years of inactivity here on Panoramio, I am happy to see the upload process streamlined and I am going to upload photos from many of my climbing and hiking trips in 2012, 2013 and now in 2014. Enjoy and cheers! Matt - May 27, 2014

Only 43 views ... oh, it's unlocated. Try 39 5.90' 106 56.60'. Great late season color!

Must be Pk 12,814 off the flank of Henderson Peak. Great lighting!

Very clear picture.I haven't seen the peaks from that angle. Great photo

I'm thinking about a trip up Tourist Creek Valley to grab Bastion, Rampart and Koven, for my next Wind River Range adventure.

Thanks Matt... The perspective was really strange on that one. The camera actually picked up the foreground AND the background. Strange :)

As mountains go, this is a small child. But it has changed little in many generations, and our great-great-grandchildren will look on this mountain and see what you saw.

How often I have read the "experts" declare that the sun or the light is best before 10:00 am or after 2:00 pm. Some even go as far as to say it's only good before 8:30 AM or after 3:30 pm. I'm glad you have proven them foolish.
