I am a graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a geological engineering degree. Recently started work in the oilfields as a mudlogger. Climbing and mountaineering is in full force and my lifelong passion now. A few years ago I thought about trying to always take very high quality photos but when I started technical climbing, snapshots with my favorite point and shoot just is easier. I now use Canon SD series point and shoot cameras almost exclusively and love how the photos turn out fur such a small camera! I post loads of photos and beta on Summitpost so check it out. After a few years of inactivity here on Panoramio, I am happy to see the upload process streamlined and I am going to upload photos from many of my climbing and hiking trips in 2012, 2013 and now in 2014. Enjoy and cheers! Matt - May 27, 2014

What can ya say? I love slot canyons! And this is a really good shot, Matt!

Thanks for letting me know. You are correct!

It was steep, but the bushwhacking wasn't too bad. Definitely doable. The key is to find the boot path that starts right at the west end of the reflection ponds.

I am actually not sure...this was taken way back in 2008 before I knew much about what mountains were where, or how to even climb! I haven't been back to New Mexico since. I will look it up but for now I'll take your word for it.

Beautiful Picture!!!!

Beautiful photo! I am wondering what the route is to ascent this peak? Is it directly up the north side and did you have to climb any glaciers? Thanks

Superbe paysage & belle prise de vue (j'aime). Cordialement, J-Claude.
