hello laura the buddah status(or bamyan historical complex) should be counted as one of world wonder places.coz it is not just one status,but there is hundred of them.if you need more info about other historical places around the buddah temple,plz let me know unfortunatly the Budahh temple in bamyan is getting destroyed if UNESCO dose'nt pay attention to it.i visited this placec last year and unfortunaly afghan govenrment is not care about it at all.i have more picture of it if you need.
