Hi Nicolas, I'm sorry for your loss! The photo was dated 31-Oct-2010 as shown in the "Extra information" link here in Panoramio. The boat was still relatively clean inside and on the bottom. Just the top had the vegetation growth.

This boat was purposely sunk in October 2010 after it ended up on top of the nearby reef and holed. Many cruisers stopped to help the owners remove their belongings, the masts, and to remove environmentally hazardous items, before sinking what was left. It was a very sad day for the owners and their friends.

well done,as you known there is an elephant nose mountain in guilin China due to it's shape and for this we may named it 鳄鱼 crocodile island or what,heh!!! I like your pictures!!!

In a way it was. I was on the way back in the dinghy from another boat and I grabbed the camera (out of its waterproof bag) while still moving and snapped a bunch of shots. This was one of the best of that batch. Glad I didn't drop the camera in the water though!

Yes, it is a fun technique. But, zoom in on the map and check out the aerial imagery in Google Maps/Earth. The kite shots I took are now part of the base imagery so you can see the whole island in ultra clear kite aerial photos.
