Cheers Neil, I did have my tripod with me but to get the shot I needed to watch until the ball was almost at the batsman ( yes you can see the ball if you look) and then snatch three frames ( 2 left and 1 right) to complete the scene so doing it as low as I had to shoot on a tripod was almost impossible hence why I did it all hand held.
Note the fast shutter/wide aperture/high ISO which were needed to shoot fast and capture the action without motion blur.
Its a lovely old town Richard, we had heard it was and it certainly didn't disappoint, thanks for calling in.
Thanks Richard, hope you enjoyed your break....Regards...Neil.
A relaxing cruise, a glass of wine, and Mrs G by your side what else can one ask for :-)) Like Regards Richard
Cheers Neil, I did get it mate and because it's on YS2 I can reply.
Yes it's quite a stroll across boggy moor to reach that point and I only just got their and set up in time. I've tried many a time to catch the heather and light just right so that's another one ticked off though I suspect I may still visit again if I see good conditions.
Great comment and award Nikos1954!!! Very many thanks!
Best wishes, Andy
