This is the position of the wreck of Oria.
A merchant ship confiscated by the Germans during WWII. It was transporting more than 4000 Italian POW, when due to bad wheather attempted to anchor near the island of Patroklos at cape Sounio.
There it hit a reef and sunk, taking to death more than 4000 people. It is the worst shipwreck in the maritime history of mankind.
