The Tate residence as it was in august of 1969. I think that Manson made his mistake when he thought that Doris day's step son, co- producer of the beach boys terry was staying here before Roman Polanski rented it. It was terry and Dennis Wilson who promised Manson a visit @Sphan Ranch and never showed. This angered Manson, and since he had been here before,thought it would be the perfect place for revenge, and to ignite Helter Skelter!!!
