Hi Guys,
great pix!!!
I am planning to sail there this summer. Any tips?
Where did you start and finish the sail (paddle)?
Haw was jour paddling as for mosquitoes, black flies?
How about bears, wolfs, moose, other bigger creatures?
What was the temperatures of water, air? Any good fishing?
Anything else worth mentioning.
I would appreciate any useful info.
Happy paddling. Regards. George.
Hey Emes, Your "playing around" sounds like how we got interested in doing this trip; after finding something this crazy, I couldn't help but want to check it out! The feature is man-made; if the dam at the southern end were not there, much of this feature would not be evident. In fact, just visiting the dam was impressive; quite an engineering marvel considering what it is doing. The only drawback of the trip was the pervasive bugs that were not scared of our repellant and would find ways into the head nets that we were wearing; very tortuous. BTW, lived in Germany for 5 months; GREAT Country! Can't wait to get back sometime. All the best to you! Jeff

The "clouds" amongst the hills are from the dust of vehicles cruising down Route 389.
