I am what I am and what I am needs no...err, wait, no, that's not The Cure. What self respecting (and straight) goth would quote Gloria Gaynor?
(This one apparently.)
I like all things medieval, yadda, yadda, yadda, enjoy camping in the mountains, blah, blah, blah. Love the Lakes and wild places. Know full well that Gods, and magic, and mysticism are all a load of rubbish, but still love the places from which such myths arise.
Erstwhile illustrator by vocation, games player by inclination, novelist by destination(?)...hang on, that didn't quite work.
Sounded better in my head than it looks on screen.
Think that about sums me up. That's me 'in a nutshell'...and that'd be a rotten black nutshell with an upside-down cross etched into it.

Scary but great shot from the back seat!! We were nearly rammed by two crossing over from Hluhluwe to iMfolozi when we inadvertently blocked their path on the main road. See http://www.panoramio.com/photo/53328362. Having subsequently read the Elephant Whisperer, I only now know one should not play with these beasts! Best wishes, John P.S. You have some great wildlife shots, why not put them into a Group such as http://www.panoramio.com/group/6074

Thanks Fad for posting more of your stone circle photos including the "Cheesewring". (I've added an explanation on the group site including mysterious Natural features associated with myth and legend)
Cheers - Jim

Just 'Fad' will do :) I can live without being reminded of my encroaching old age :)

Cheers for that. I have no doubt that we'll make it back there one day....have camped for the last two years just above Buttermere so it's not exactly a long way to walk...it's just that we always seem to end up going up Haystacks instead.

All corrections welcome. I'm a bit of a SA wildlife spotting novice, only been there twice now, think I need more practice:)

Looking at the "extra information" on the photo, the shot was taken at the wide-angle end of the zoom.
Nice shot, Fad64
