There must have been a fairly bad layer in that rock for it to have been eroded down to that...
Wonder how long ago it was at the bottem of the sea...?
It seems that it is about 2km above sealevel, so the seabed sure has lifted heaps! Maybe it could have been a lake bed?

Your images have a very surreal quality to them. I would love to know what you do to get that quality. I almost feel like I am looking at a painting instead of a photograph even though I know I'm not.
