The greater spotted woodpecker, not to be confused with the Lessor spotted woodpecker which is much smaller, is a lovely bird. It is fond of peanuts left out in the winter,however at this time of year it is also fond of the young of the blue tit and other small birds. It is distressing when you see them pecking at the nest holes and snatching a chick and they will come back until they are all gone. It is nice to see that you have both the male and female Black cap, may be they are nesting near by. :)

Was really a miracle that you didn't follow all these treatments! The body has allways the power to recovered itself. My advice is to avoid milk and everithing wich contain lactose.
