This picture should be removed it is a picture of the old Pontoon bridge, its has been replaced by a new 65' fixed bridge, look at the bridge as it is now.
These "Extreme" flyers are amazing. And what a great picture (especially with the reflection in the water)! You need to name it, so more people would be tempted to access, view, and enjoy it and the pelicans. I came across it, only by an accidental click.
Yes Troy is a City; however it is refered to as The Troy Town Dock. See http://www.nycanal.com/marinas/nycanalmarinas.html?op=distance&search_type=topdestinations&biz_type=24&tid=4529
The NYS Canal system Refers to it as such long with The City of Troy itself.
Not yet but some day I would love to take the Erie and the ICW. Until I can I like to view pics like yours to see what it might be like. Pictures are not like the real thing, But still nice.
Where you on that container ship that double (bow & stern) waked and bounced us around on the public dock pictured here? Because of that your trip up the Savannah was certainly memorable for us. Thanks.

Nice contrast and great colors, a great time of day to shoot the bridge.
Thanks for the corection Brigantine is the next inlet north. As further correction for us both this is actually Absecon Inlet.

Thanks for the info. We'll be going thru in May. Seems like a good place to layup for a night or two.
Thanks for the reply. We were there in the Waterside Marina on that day and missed getting a shot of her in dry-dock.
Not much in amenities. No bathroom or showers but the greatest people on the ICW. Like stepping back in time to the 50's.
