Das ist sooooo ein geiles Foto! Durch diese Aufnahme bin ich auf Dich aufmerksam geworden! Einfach spektakulär! L&F Gruß aus Berlin, Catrin
Great view, everyday i look up at the rock from my home, since i was a child i have thought about hiking up to White Rock,
Did you make it all the way and touch the rock itself?
And is there an obvious track to get there?
Refer to this map: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/100096811.
You turn into Bilborough Ct off the Gold Coast - Springbrook Road, drive to the end and park, walk round the locked gate and along the access track southwards through the national park, up to the transmission masts.
I'm in awe of your house, it reminds me of the work of Paul Phaleros and Glenn Murcutt. Who designed it?
Is actually Lakeland Downs Hotel...
On these falls was the first hydro electric generator installed in Queensland . During the 2nd world war the American servicemen loved visiting Paronella Park , and to which the Americans built the suspension bridge over the falls as gratitude for the hospitality bestowed on them .
Taken not long after a bushfire at the end of the 2009 dry season.
My 22nd shot to pass 3,000 view
Cheers, Tony in New Zealand
Thanks for repleing
This is a small patch of nearly treeless grassland on the saddle at the head of the Rifle Range valley. Most of the range is granite and other acid volcanics, this is exceptional in being basalt, and the geology may be one reason for the absence of tree cover. Another reason is likely to be the drying effect of the prevailing southeasterly winds that get funneled up the valley onto this saddle.
