From a young age I loved travelling and taking pictures as memories of the places I have seen. Many of these are colour slides, and some 30 year old slides are among my photos here on Panoramio. With little background in IT and the visual arts, I'm trying to come to grips with all kinds of technology and techniques and possibilities in digital photography. I love the outdoors, but in recent times have been more city bound. My wife is also on Panoramio and we share this great experience.

Wonderful moody scenery. LIKE! +++ Jürgen grüßt Dich aus Frankfurt am Main / Jürgen greets you from Frankfurt-upon-Main in Germany.

It's a miracle that the solar panels are not stolen or destructed until now, I hope they will stay there. The utility is cleaned every day by the communal services.

Glad to see you Like it GyurIca!

Kind regards,

Thanks * RNLatvian*, I appreciate your liking this picture. Regards, Daan.

Bedankt Hans, heel interessant.

Thank you, GGR - I am glad you like this one. My best wishes and greetings, Erhard

Nice view, well captured! Greetings, Reinhard

Jealousy because not able to accomplish great things themselves is the reason for the the sad habit of the new rulers to change historical places in meaningless names.

eg. When I was in Turkey, I have searched in vain for the places that have played such a large role in the conquests of Alexander the Great and guess what?

The place where the famous Battle of Issus took place, where Alexander the Great Darius defeated, in 333 BC, is now called Dörtyol. Means "crossroads" literally four roads. Exit Issus.

Halicarnassus of ancient times and famous for housing the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Exit Halicarnassus it’s now Bodrum which simply means basement.

Ek het al gehoor van Photoshop , maar my vingers is te dom , ek gebruik net Bill Gates se "Paint" skêr om die voëltjie in die middel te kry
