That's the McMahan barn. That farm belonged to my great uncle Robert (Bob) McMahan (1931-2013). That's Huffaker Mountain looming up behind it across the Cowlitz valley. I have many happy childhood memories of time spent on that farm. Thanks for posting this beautiful photograph.
Not far from where the Sangamon Valley Trail crosses West Washington Street, near Koke Mill Road, an old dirt forest trail runs along just to the east of the Sangamon Valley Trail.
Trees along the roads in Illinois are trimmed by the power companies to protect powerlines and phone lines from falling branches. Notice the tree on the right here along State Highway 111.

I like your frame.
Interesting, I saw that, but no one managed to explain to us what this was. Cheers.
Ah, nice. Not a great deal seems to have changed since then.

Beautiful shot! Funny to see cornfields in Oregon as I just don't think of them when I think Oregon. But beautiful!
Probably a snapping turtle!
Nice shot! I love the backroads of Macoupin County.
Idyliic setting and nicely captured at the right time of day with contrasts and colors. Nice job, love the name of this tiny lake, wish I were there!
