This is what was once called the Fire Control (F/C) Warehouse. Built by the CCC's in the 1930's. All of the fire control equipment was stored in there. Later, in the 1960's after the Ranger Station was moved to Forks, a small office was built inside.
The building just to the right of it was the shop. Between them was an elevated grease rack long ago removed.
