Bruce have no fear have done that out in the wilds this is tourist town stuff. as a child in my teens we walked over such a large % of NZ with my parent in most cases we made our own tracks to where ever so i know just what you mean. i miss most bush walking in nz, not so nice in oz to many nasties and summer is no good time to go bush. glad you enjoy the bush just like i do. steve
