In English:
I lived in the upper floor of the Orangerie as a student from 1989 to 1990. The family who lived here were very friendly and Madame D was adorable and made me feel welcome. I will always remember her.
Thank you very much, but as do not mention a fee, one way or the other, I am unsure of the position there. Do I take it you don't require one?
Also, I'll not avail of your permission until I am certain you are comfortable with the way the image will be used. (In the event you disagree you retain the right to withdraw your permission.)
I will be using it in a book (my first, self-published). It will be internal—hence the need to convert it to black and white. As space is tight, I will also need to crop it, tight to the left, right and top (and perhaps a sliver at the bottom. Also, there is a slight tilt, caused by parallax. Would you mind if I corrected it?
I will be happy to send you a preview of exactly what I propose. Then you can give, your final OK (or not).
But I wonder how I can do that. I could post it—appropriately annotated—on my own page and, when you see it and comment, then I would remove it.
When I stayed here I wasn't aware that it was a historic palace. I just thought it was a very nice building. It is an amazing building. Marie Antoinette's Petite Trianon is behind the photographer some 500 yards.
Front view of Hotel Trianon. A very nice hotel, expensive but confortable and beautifully placed immediately beside the Gardens of Versailles. Staying here one does get the sense that you are sleeping in a palace.

Magnifique Lycée ! Le meilleur est à l'intérieur...

Here is the "rue du Baillage" near the "geole".
