this is townely hall but the location on the map is actually my old school...townely high school. the hall is further up the road. past the white building that is the new "superschool"
Have just read the authorised biography of 'The Real James Herriot' written by his son Jim Wight,who followed in his father's footsteps.Qualified from Glasgow as a Vet in 1966.He joined the practice of Sinclair & Wight in Thirsk and worked alongside his father,and Donald Sinclair (Alias James Herriot and Siegfreed Farnon.Published by Michael Joseph 1999.It has all the genius of the Vet Books-a great read.
