A grade 1 racetrack opened in October 2001 hosts 18 race meetings each year. The venue is very accessible for surround counties and Shannon airport located on the M20 just 5 miles from Limerick city. Facilities include free parking, range of catering and bar facilities for race days. Calendar highlights include St Patrick’s weekend racing, Summer Evening Twilight festival with live music after racing in June & July and the Christmas festival consists of 4 days of national hunt racing and is a highlight of the social calendar in the city each year.
