Ross Mitchell's conversations

Hi David, we caught this view on the way back from the wilderness area. We tried to go up here a couple of weeks ago and the road was still blocked by snow! Best Wishes, Greg.

Vertical exaggertion. 2X?

This is a great one - LIKE!!!

Just so you know...

This is not a cave. This is actually part of a rock quarry and it does not extend any further than 100 feet or less inward. There is a small/short tunnel under this opening (just right of the yellow stone/dirt that is shown just below the entrance) but this does not actually go anywhere either.

Great picture though.

Thanks, Ross! You have awesome pictures yourself, man.

Maria, thank you very much!!

Hi Ole, we had to cross the river twice, once to drop my friend off, then once for him to take pictures as I crossed again. It was a fin day. Best Wishes, Greg.

CGC Glacier returned to Antarctica in 1971 after tearing her hull on an unmapped undersea peak and spending many months in New Zealand dry dock for repairs. The shining, repaired Glacier joined Burton Island for the seasonal ice break into McMurdo. Glacier's commanding officer was senior to BI's. Rumors of the day said he didn't like the look of the rust-stained Burton Island. He ordered the BI's hull scrubbed clean (soogied). The ships broke ice in a parallel path. The captain of the BI ordered only the port side washed so the Glacier's CO would see only shining white icebreaker off his starboard. You cannot paint a ship's hull at 5 below. Paint rollers freeze to it.

Thanks for putting up with my memory.
