The fish-box run is a competitive event (usually for young, courageous boys) held during the annual Dory Races in the summer in Lunenburg. The boxes are slippery, and I have yet to see anyone get right across.

Our family rented this old farmhouse on an annual basis in the '50s-'60s, and we spent tranquil holidays and weekends here, away from the hordes of summer tourists to Cornwall. Water was drawn by hand from a well in the front garden. Sadly our furniture and possessions were looted one winter, and the place has since fallen into disrepair. My brother took this photo. I can't bear to return...
