Selworthy is like a village that time forgot- lost in the woodlands of Exmoor. I like the magical combination of these houses with the different textures and colours of green- like in a Hans Christian Anderson fairy story.

Looking across the Bay of Cruden from fields near the village of Whinnyfold.

The fishermen of Cruden Bay catch lobster and crabs in thier creels. The boats go into the water around Easter and are taken out for the winter as the harbour is tidal and the combination of high tides and wild winds during the winter make the harbour a dangerous place.

The picture above is of a very calm day in summer at Port Erroll harbour not Cruden Bay as captioned.

The salmon nets are drying beside the salmon bothy. The salmon fishers can be seen every year fom spring to summer going out in their cobble to retrieve salmon caught in their nets.

The salmon are then smoked at their smokehouse in Peterhead from where it is sent all over the world.
