Stunning, love the warm colour in this seemingly very cold place. Well done.

David - gorgeous isle. Reminds me of the Lillian Beckwith books, she lived in & wrote extensively about the Hebrides. Always made me feel as if I would love to live there too. L&F, Heather.

David - a brilliant scene, the sun on the golden grasses! L&F, Heather.

David - a fabulous landscape. The tide must be out? You can see where the high tide mark laps. L&F, Heather.

Greetings reinhard10000, and thanks. This is one of my favorite all-time shots; I was very lucky to catch it. Best regards, Hank

Around Mid March and October the Snowgeese Migrate and stop here at Freezout. There can be upwards of 20k at a time. It is very loud and I suggest you have a umbrella if they are going to fly over you just in case. I seen what looks like steam come off the lake when I first moved here and a local told me no that is snow geese. And I said how many? 1,000 they said more like 10-20 times that. It is amazing. This lake is a resting area for migratory birds. I was so shocked to hear that there was that many birds. on film in 2011. Only thing that beats this is Million snowgeese elsewhere
