So I think in LOST it wasn't a church, it was Faraday's department of Oxford University!!

t is 5000 square foot home built by Albert and Gladys Christensen. In 12 year period Albert excavated 50 000 cubic feet of sandstone from the rock. During this time he completed his famous painting Sermon on the Mount and his sculpture of Franklin D. Roosevelt on the face of the rock above his home. When Albert died in 1957, the home was not complete. Gladys's in keeping with his wishes & lifelong dreams continued to develop the property, opening a gift shop and giving tours of her home until she passed away in 1974. Gladys is laid to rest next to Albert in a small cove within the rock near the home.

Roosevelt Point was named in honour of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th president of the United States for his efforts towards preservation of Grand Canyon.

Old Paria was used to film western movies and TV shows from 1963-1991. As a location, it was used for several episodes of Gunsmoke and Sergeants Three and the famous Clint Eastwood film The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Moqui cave contains a substantial rock collection, including many ultraviolet-fluorescent minerals, fossils, dinosaur tracks, and displays about the Anasazi.

Snow Canyon is a mix or red and white Navajo sandstone with beds of black lava.

This Mormon Temple was completed in 1871. It is the oldest Mormon Temple still in use.

This town was first settled in 1859. It became a filming location for scenes in the classic movies like Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid.
