An excellent set of station photos! Thanks for the link.

Yes, it is. When I photographed this station years ago, I think it still had a sign on it saying "Beaver Lake".

NJ Transit does hope to one day reopen the cutoff with service to Scranton PA. An ambitious project, which will cost a lot, and frankly probably never happen (which is a shame for railfans anyway). This station, and the interlocking tower which is hidden by the growth, would be used for maintenance of way crews on the restored cutoff. I subsequently found out the 1911 road bridge here was removed in 2002. If the cutoff is ever restored, there would be grade crossing here. When originally built, the cutoff had no grade crossings to allow for high speed rail traffic without the fear of crossing accidents.

There are dozens of old RR bridges scattered around northern and western NJ, left in place on the old routes of the DL&W, NYS&W, L&NE, L&HR, and other long lost short lines. Many of them now help keep the makeshift, and official rail trails intact. This picture is from 1999, it would be interesting to see if this bridge is still there today. From the sat imagery, it appears it still is.

No, this was a Lackawanna station only, on the high speed cutoff. The NYS&W Blairstown station was approximately a mile north-northwest of here in Footbridge Park at the south end of the old iron footbridge by the rail trail. The old station's foundation is said to still exist. It is near these coordinates: 40°58'50.30"N, 74°57'35.47"W
