I commuted from Barre to Burlington on this highway every day for 10 months at a time, three times within the last 20 years. I know the highway a little too well in any condition. I've even been in the median not far from here during a snowstorm :-(

you can see some of the gravestones to the left of the building. This is one of two cemeteries well known in the area for the beautiful granite stonework. Barre touts itself as "The Granite Capital of the World" due to its quarries and past history of stone masons
