Lynnewood Hall is a 110-room Neoclassical Revival mansion in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, designed by architect Horace Trumbauer for industrialist Peter A. B. Widener between 1897 and 1900.

Wonderful piece of nature. Excellent image.

MA, I read that Danish text and it all makes sense..at least I understood it. Are you sure you are not from Denmark after all..I have my doubts...hilsen fra Finland, ICM

Many thanks for this picture. Our daughter took us there mid January (and didn't take my camera!), it was similar to your photo just not as much had frozen over. Such a joyous place, I got an idea of what John Muir felt about nature (particularly Yosemite).

Beautiful landscape and nice color!!!

Wow! Thank you so much! I read the whole of the website. It was fascinating! Amazing that it has been neglected for over 70 years....very depressing in a way. It would be a great place for a museum. Interesting that there are dogs everywhere....I have seen them and thought they were wild. Also, the windows upstairs always seem to be open. It's probably degenerated into a very large dog house.

i know it's not in nockamixon but idk where else to geotag it? on the map it seems to be fairly accurate (right in the ringing rocks border on google maps). suggestions are welcome :) one of my favorite local spots

Thank you, timtek. I have found it.
