em Portugal, esta espécie rara de Narciso apenas existe por ocorrência natural no tabuleiro da Ponte da Ajuda.

A ponte, mandada construir em 1509 por D.Manuel para facilitar os acessos a Olivença, seria destruída em 1709 durante a Guerra de Sucessão de Espanha. em 300 anos de abandono e progressiva ruína, a natureza soube ocupar aqui um espaço exíguo onde este pequeno e frágil narciso consegue sobreviver.
