Beautiful sunset view! LIKE

Morning sea mist rising. Skye is a magical place.

Thanks for your comment. Taken as we were driving to the Isle of Skye for a three day stay.

This photo was taken last summer while touring with my church choir. Countess Karolyi asked us to come to Fot to sing a concert in Fot Basilica to aid the orphanage that occupies a portion of the castle's former gardens. We had just left dinner at the castle and begun walking toward the basilica for the concert when I turned around and saw this sunset. I took this shot, and the sunset disappeared only a few minutes afterwards. Unbelievable good luck!

Thanks for your comments. My wife and I, along with four other couples, spent a week in Garfagnana in 2012. The hilltowns of Barga, Castiglione di Garfagnana and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana were delightful places to stroll, eat wonderful food and meet interesting people. I thought the combination of the 14th century clock tower and the rooftop satellite dish added an element of delightful humor to this photograph.

Thanks. I can't believe I just noticed your comment from nearly three years ago. This photograph was taken during a very enjoyable trip on The Empire Builder, an AMTRAK train that runs from Chicago to Seattle. The trip is approximately 44 hours, two nights on the train, passing through the Northern Plains of the US, the Rocky Mountains with stops at the east and west gates to Glacier National Park, crossing the Continental Divide, and descending through the Cascade Mountains for a final run along the shore of Puget Sound before arriving in Seattle. Fun trip!

Great vintage postcard of the Esplanade. Why not add it to the Fair Park Dallas group you are already a member of?
