Great shot Ralph, looks like a typical southern Oregon/Idaho scene. Are you writing a book on travels to this area? What others do you have available? Looks like a great trip.
Greg and Bruce,
I had never heard of Fort Rock, but we stumbled upon it while driving south to Hart Mountain. It is volcanic tuff ring, formed when molten rock rose up into the waters of a muddy ice age lake.
There are other similar formations in this remote part of Great Basin Oregon. I would like to have explored them.
Good road Ralph . . . happy trails, Bruce
Wonderful colours, well composed picture. F&L. Best wishes, Göran
Hello Misi, Fabio, Ralph, Veranik, Heather and Jose, thanks so much for all the comments. I was trying to get the longest exposure I could, only got down to 2 seconds. Still I like the outcome. Gest Wishes to all, Greg.
Hi Rollie and Ralph, on a regular day this wouldn't be much but with the clouds and the sunlight peeking through it was spectacular. Best wishes, Greg.
