ScotchHeather and Bruce MacIver,
Thank you. The Red Rock Pass area has interesting and often beautiful photographic opportunities all year. So far it is not well discovered.
Red Rock Pass is where ancient pleistocene Lake Bonneville broke out of the Great Basin 14,000 years ago. The result was a 400 foot deep torrant of water for months tearing its way across what is now southern Idaho.

Ever since I was a child, I wondered what was down almost any lightly used road I saw. Then later when I found that a trail often began where the road ended, I wanted to follow the trail.
Hi Christian, Andy, Dirk Jan, Ralph and Begona, thanks for your comments. I did cheat a little this was a drone photographing a wedding I was also shooting stills for. It was still an impressive show from the drone and a little tough to capture. Best Wishes to All, Greg.
Thanks for the comment Lex.
You've probably noticed that in dry rangeland in the Little Lost Valley there can be a dozen or so ant hills in just an acre.
Amazing view! LIKE
