My photos are mostly of the Western landscape. I try to document the "wide open spaces," and, of course, my photos make things look more attractive than they really are. I generally avoid uploading photos of the classic places because Google Earth will not benefit from more photos of them. Contact me at rmaughan2 AT cableone Dot net

Ralph Maughan's conversations

Hi Eslam and Von Epik, nature is great and sometimes a bit difficult to get to it's greatest beauties. Thanks for the visit, Greg.

Wonderful night scene.
Best regards from Georgia, David.

Kent Anness and Greg,

THanks. It was a most pleasant day! The clouds, light, and temperature too were perfect.

I have to disagree with the title of the photo.

The trees are Russian olive and the yellow grass in the mid-distance is cheatgrass. Both are invading species from Asia.

Amazing scenery! YSL. Best regards, Petr

Unfortunately the original one was blown up in the movie "Universal Soldier" 1992. The two front pillars are original.

Nice shot Ralph, lots of those kid of roads there. Sure is a great time of year with all the green grass ans sage. Happy Travels, Greg.

Vertical exaggertion. 2X?

Yes the green period is short, too short, and perhaps even shorter still this year.
