My photos are mostly of the Western landscape. I try to document the "wide open spaces," and, of course, my photos make things look more attractive than they really are. I generally avoid uploading photos of the classic places because Google Earth will not benefit from more photos of them. Contact me at rmaughan2 AT cableone Dot net

Yes, before I retired I spent most of every summer in the woods. Being in education, I had 3 months off. I wrote 3 hiking/backpacking guides, including "Hiking Idaho." The trail to this lake is in it.

Now retired, I have even more time, but I walk more slowly and view most of it from my rig.

I don't know what to say about the cemetery. It is obviously not forgotten, but is clearly not maintained. I don't know what to say about the vegetation. Perhaps the cows got it, but if so, there should be more inside the fence.

There hadn't been a fire.

I remember driving past that, interesting that is is just GONE! Greetings, Greg.

Very nice shot, like
Best wishes, Marc

Thanks Greg. The smoke has blown away to the north, at least for a while.

Greetings Ralph, Thanks for the visits and the comments. It is always a pleasure to hear from you and hear your thoughts. The size of my panoramas really had to be reduced so they would fit as a single file in Panoramio. There is much more detail than what I was able to present. I like the meadow stretching out to the far mountains and the weather brewing. Very nice. Thanks for sharing and have a great day. Cheers, Rich

Thanks Ralph, we hiked up in the rain so I didn't expect much of any shot, the sun did break out in spots as we were on the top. Good start to our hiking. Greetings, Greg.

Thanks Ralph, I thought it was pretty unique! Greetings, Greg.

Thanks Ralph, we saw a number of plants but these were the only ones in bloom. They had one fern like plant that had really taken over the countryside. Best wishes, Greg.

Hi Christian, Roger and Ralph, thanks for the nice comments, the different layers are pretty unique. Glad you stopped by, Best Wishes, Greg.
