I am glad the photo is useful, and I hope you find those marmots. I know the Pilot Range itself could be an island refuge for at least a few species. The last pure strain of the Pyramid Lake strain of Lahontan cutthroat trout was found in Morrison Creek on the slope of Pilot Peak itself. Transplantation of them to Pyramid Lake restored that dying strain with giant trout.
