There is something stark and attention grabbing with the way you've done this shot.. Nice!
Excellent picture, beautiful flowers and colors, LIKED !!! Best wishes from Ukraine! Yuri.
Put the photo in the correct place. It is also miscaptioned. It is not of Glen Canyon. It is Bryce Canyon National Park.
As you probably know, aspen is a more abundant in Utah than in Idaho. The place in this photo is on Monte Cristo Ridge (it has other names in places). Beginning near the Idaho border it runs south to Fairview, Utah -- about 225 miles. It it broad and covered mostly with aspen. South of there, the "high plateau of Utah" bear aspen forests almost to the Arizona border.
Very nice L

Very nice of you to leave comments Annica and Pom' Angers, thank you for the likes and FAV!
There is a very nice pool on the Left Hand Fork at the base of this 200 foot high limestone cliff near where the spring emerges.
If you spent a sunny day, all day there, you could get many fine combinations of light and shadow. I was glad for this one with the late morning sun just hitting the first branches. Glad you liked it.
Thanks, and I am glad you liked the recent series.
Andre' and Bruce,
Some of these canyons have large outcroppings of rock fins that have likely never been photographed up close.
