My photos are mostly of the Western landscape. I try to document the "wide open spaces," and, of course, my photos make things look more attractive than they really are. I generally avoid uploading photos of the classic places because Google Earth will not benefit from more photos of them. Contact me at rmaughan2 AT cableone Dot net

Greetings Moni, Thanks for the visit and the comment. There was so much snow around us, but it was not uncomfortably cold in the air. It was the first day of summer as Ralph pointed out. Down on the lake was probably a different story. You could probably skate on the ice. I bet it is really cold should you decide to take a swim. Cheers, Rich

Greetings Ralph, Thanks for the recent visit and the wonderful comments. It was so nice to hear from you again. I hope you will double check my locations and titles since you are so intimately familiar with the area, our expert as it were!! Beautiful catch out there in Idaho. I hope you have been having a wonderful summer. I see the days are getting shorter again as I drive to work each morning. Time goes so quickly. Take care and have a great day. Cheers, Rich

I love the lighting and reflection in this one. Dusk sometimes offers great lighting for photography. What an amazing trip you are having. I'm really enjoying browsing your photos. They make it almost seem like I've had a vacation. Enjoy your weekend. Laurel

Bruce MacIver, The scenery and the light was great, but the clouds of mosquitos on this subalpine meadow, drove me out.

Both of the Loch Katrine are very good. I like the depth, colors, atmosphere

At any rate, it is a near perfect still life.

I really like columnar basalt
