This must have been home to a larger family. If you are real quiet, you can sometimes almost hear on the wind the laughter of the children who played here so long ago.

The air in Nevada is almost always very clear; so much so that things 100 miles away appear to be only about 10 miles away. Nice pictures, especially the framing on the one of the florence Mine.

If you can look real close, there is a white house up on the mine dump to the right of the gallows frame. That house was originally located on the north side of the highway just at the left turn in the highway as one comes into town from the south. It was owned by Ruth Duffy. After several cars didn't make the turn and almost wound up in her living room, Mrs. Duffy had the house moved out to the mine! The house was still in town in the early 1960's, so I don't know when she had it moved.

I believe this was Slim Riggs Place, a bar and I don't know what else. It was operating in the 1950's.
