Or Holden EH's (or whatever it is) driving up the main street! <grin>
The Australian Army Band Kapooka has been in existence for over 50 years. Today the City of Wagga Wagga honoured the band by granting it "The Right of Freedom of Entry to The City".
It was a big honour for the band and hundreds of people turned out to see the ceremony.
This was taken just before the start of the Band's march up the street.
Very beautiful shot and splendid colors. Cheers from Naples. P. Grassi
Thank you!! Greetings to Aunt!!
Best wishes, Steven.
Yeah, it's in Forbes Street, just off William Street. Called "The Horizon". Do you know my friend??
Pantelhs: Good! It is morning here in Australia right now. Very hot too. 40 degrees.
Hi Kristine, I'm glad you liked the photo and that it brought back some memories for you. Steven.
You've just made me feel homesick with all your great photos of SA. Even the Wallaroo Jetty for goodness sake! My family used to go up there for our summer hols every years in the 70's. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
Thanks Didz! It was over 30 years ago, but I still remember the thrill of being allowed into the unfinished building for a look round. I can't imagine the same thing happening today, can you? And then to be able to see all the way to the sea from up there. I've been up way higher many times since then, but at the time it was a great thrill for a young guy just out of high school! And of course I got a stack of great photos from up there.
