I swam in that pool about 10 years ago with my dear friend Jono who has now left us. We hitchhiked and walked from Santa Cruz to Florida and then to Los Fierros with campesinos. We would not have survived without the help of many caring locals. Almost makes me cry to see this picture. I recall vividly sitting beside the stream that flows from this pond watching a snake swallow a turtle about one foot across over the course of an hour.
